Why are LA companies updating team headshots now?
The office is back, and Los Angeles is leading it. Placer.ai's office foot-traffic index had LA visits up 16.6% year over year in March 2026, the biggest gain of any market it analyzed. In July, LA still posted the strongest year-over-year growth, at 5.7%. Visits are still about 36% below March 2019. The direction is clear, though.
Some of the biggest local employers set the pace. Paramount Skydance asked U.S. staff back five days a week starting in January 2026. NBCUniversal moved to four days, Monday through Thursday, from January 5, 2026.
Once everyone shares an office again, the gaps show. Anyone hired in the last few years may never have had a company photo. Others still use a picture that's five years old. Put the website, the sales deck and the LinkedIn company page side by side and they look like three different companies.
How does an on-site headshot day work?
- Pick a day when most of the team is in. In a hybrid office that's usually Tuesday to Thursday.
- Reserve a room. A conference room with space for a backdrop, lights and a couple of people waiting is enough. We need one standard outlet.
- Send a sign-up sheet with 5-minute slots. One photographer moves about 12 to 15 people an hour, so a team of 40 takes around three hours.
- We set up lights and a gray backdrop (any shade, or a custom color on request). Each person steps in, gets direction and picks from the shots on a tablet.
- Everyone gets one fully retouched photo and LinkedIn-ready crops in a private gallery.

The blocks work like tax brackets, so adding people never re-prices the first ones. The first 10 people are $225 each, people 11 to 24 are $175, people 25 to 49 are $125, people 50 to 99 are $75, and everyone from 100 up is $55. The minimum is $1,200 per day.

How do you keep the team page consistent?
Consistency is the point of doing it as a team. Same backdrop shade, same light, same crop. When you hire later, ask us for the same setup so new faces fit the page instead of standing out.
Get the gallery out the same day, while people still care. When we photographed 23 people on ABANCA's team in Brickell, Miami, every one of the 22 galleries we delivered got opened. People look at their own photo. The hard part is getting them to update LinkedIn and the website, so send the gallery link with a one-line ask to swap the photo that week.
What should you send your team before the day?
A short email a week ahead does most of the work. Copy this one:
Hi team, we're doing new headshots on [date] in [room]. It takes about 5 minutes. Pick a slot here: [link]. Wear what you'd wear to an important client meeting. Solid colors work best, and skip busy patterns. You'll see your photos on a tablet and choose your favorite.
