Actor & talent headshots in Los Angeles

Headshots casting directors trust.

BLINK Photo Co. shoots actor headshots in Los Angeles for working performers, new talent, and models building a book. A great casting headshot has to look like you when you walk into the room, so we skip the over-retouched, glossy look and focus on honest expression and eyes that connect. Whether you need clean commercial headshots, dramatic theatrical looks, or both, we direct you through it so the camera catches the real thing instead of a frozen pose.

Every session gives you a range of looks in one sitting, with wardrobe and lighting changes that show your type and your range. We shoot in the studio or on location around LA, from Hollywood and Silver Lake to Santa Monica, Culver City, Burbank, and Pasadena, and we can travel nationwide for talent based elsewhere. You review selects with us and get hand-retouched finals in a private gallery, sized and cropped for casting sites, agencies, and self-tapes.

FAQ

Actor headshot questions, answered.

How many looks should I get for casting?

Most actors want at least a commercial look and a theatrical look, since they read very differently to casting. In one session we can cover a few distinct looks with wardrobe and lighting changes so you have the range agents and casting sites expect.

What should I wear for actor headshots?

Bring solid colors that fit your types, avoid busy patterns and logos, and pack a few options so we can adjust on set. Think commercial versus theatrical, and bring wardrobe that helps sell each. We will guide you through the choices before we shoot.

Do you retouch actor headshots?

Yes, but lightly. Casting needs to recognize you in the room, so we keep retouching natural, cleaning up temporary blemishes and stray hairs while leaving the features that make you you. Every final select is hand-edited, not run through a filter.

Studio or outdoor headshots?

Both work, and many actors get a mix. Studio gives clean, controlled backgrounds, while natural light and outdoor settings add a softer, more lifestyle feel. We shoot in the studio or on location around Los Angeles depending on the looks you want.

When will I get my headshots?

We review selects together so you help choose your set, then deliver hand-retouched finals in a private online gallery within a few business days. Files come sized and cropped for casting platforms, agency submissions, and self-tapes.

Do you shoot talent outside Los Angeles?
